WORLD WINNER
Marianne Vos and Wout van Aert lit up the courses from Namur to Zolder in the winter of 2021, culminating in Marianne's dominant performance at the World Championships in Fayettevile, USA. With a dozen world, European and national titles between the two, they know a thing or two about cyclocross and we've enlisted their input to refine every detail of the R5-CX. The R5-CX is currently reserved for professional racers, but will be available to everyone in the summer of 2022.

The R5-CX made its World Cup debut under the guidance of Marianne Vos with a prestigious victory at Waterloo, followed by another victory at Iowa. Since then it has achieved 13 victories under both Vos and van Aert, including national and world titles.
INSPIRED BY THE R5, BUT A BIKE ALL ITS OWN
You may remember that this isn't our first dirt bike. In 2007 we made two R3 Cross frames for Jonathan Page, one of whom was the first American to finish on the podium of a World Cup. Like the R3 Cross, the R5-CX draws much of its performance and design from the R5, but with some key differences. The handling and fit are unique to this model, and are based on suggestions from Wout and Marianne. We kept the asymmetrical shells of the BBRight, but stuck them in a T47 sized hole. While this is a unique implementation for us, it uses the standard internal and external T47 cups.
THE ULTIMATE CX FRAME
The D-shaped seatpost (with double clamps, standard) not only adds compliance, but was a specific request from Wout and Marianne to keep the saddle facing forward in the event of a fall. All cables are routed internally and the frame is only compatible with electronic drivetrains to limit the entry of dust and water. The frame is available in four sizes (51, 54, 56 and 58 cm).
