This wheel with 650B diameter and wider rims is the perfect choice for athletes looking for a strong, durable and lightweight wheel for demanding challenges on road and gravel. It makes no compromises in terms of responsiveness, resistance and ease of use.
These lightweight rims feature ISM4D (Inter Spoke Milling) technology, which cuts material from the rim where it doesn't need it, concentrating it around the spokes, where tension builds up. Double butted spokes further reduce weight and make the wheel more responsive. The spokes have a streamlined elliptical shape that saves 5 watts of energy while maintaining speed. The extra-wide rims (25mm internal measurement) are compatible with tubeless tires up to 64mm to absorb road bumps and vibrations. The comfortable 5 cm "slack" you get cushions the ride and the smaller diameter rims allow you to maintain the greater agility you want with a drop-bar bike.
We've improved our UST system with a new shape of the rim groove that makes fitting and changing tires as easy as possible. Fore technology fixes the spokes to the rim without having to drill the upper groove of the rim, without flaps. No complications, no added weight. Our new Infinity hub optimizes spoke lacing with highly controlled tension for maximum power transfer, and the Instant Drive 360 freewheel, paired with our Automatic Bearing Preload Adjustment (QRM Auto), provides quick engagement, stiffness and greater resistance. The wheels use Center Lock rotors and are available with Shimano or SRAM XDRoad drive bodies and can be adapted to the Campagnolo system with an optional drive body. The front hub features a 12mm thru-axle that can be converted to 15mm or quick release. The rear one is 12x142, also convertible to the quick release system.
