The new Idol has changed. It hasn’t lost a single gram of its identity, but it has lost almost 300 grams in weight. The down tube is bolder, wider, more assertive. The rear stays are sharper, more aerodynamic. The signature “arc slope” top tube now flows in bare carbon, carved in a harmonic wave of power and lightness, creating a racing-driven, striking visual impact. The design is clean, minimal, and sharp. Colors and shades alternate like full and empty spaces, like breath and heartbeat. It’s the same Idol as always. Just sharper. More modern. More De Rosa. Because every curve was redesigned with one goal: to strike the perfect balance between comfort and performance. A frame for Granfondo lovers who still dream of launching attacks on climbs.

De Rosa IDOL 2025 is a handcrafted Italian carbon road bike built to blend long-distance comfort with responsive, modern performance—ideal for Granfondos, fast everyday rides, and ambitious climbing days.

Product overview
Born from De Rosa’s long carbon-building heritage, the Idol has evolved through multiple generations and remains a key model in the brand’s range, now updated with cleaner lines and modern integration while keeping its signature “Arc Slope” identity.

The 2025 version drops close to 300 g versus the previous generation (per the white paper) and refines tube shapes for a bolder down tube and a more aerodynamic rear triangle.

Ride feel
The frame uses a studied carbon mix to deliver stiffness in the bottom bracket area for efficient power transfer, while the rear stays are designed to filter vibrations for a smoother ride on long distances.

Geometry is described as balanced and versatile—aggressive enough for performance seekers, but not “race-only,” aiming for stability without sluggishness and sharp steering without twitchiness.

Integration and versatility
IDOL 2025 features clean internal cable routing, a UDH derailleur hanger, and tire clearance up to 34 mm for wider (or lightly treaded) tires.

It’s presented as compatible with current-generation groupsets and is commonly specced with electronic shifting options (Shimano 105/Ultegra Di2 or SRAM Rival/Force).
