| We are proud of our decades of history. Our organizer, Comm. Luigi Girardi, with insight and sagacity created in Rossano Veneto an entrepreneurial model to admire and follow. Today the founder's grandchildren - Luigi and his brothers Luca, Giovanni and Antonella - have inherited his dynamism along with the management of Sella San Marco. They run Selle San Marco with the help of their enthusiastic parents Antonio and Giuseppina, who are occupied daily in the firm.
"We are approaching 70 years in business, seventy years of vast and constantly increasing production, all of it in Italy," says Luigi Girardi. "We developed and manufactured famous saddles like the Regal, Rolls and Concor, Era models, ridden by the greatest champions of cycling. "Every year we've added new patents and solutions to our collection, saddles designed to meet every need of every cyclist."

| Arrowhead bicycle system: WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?
The “Aero Saddle” was designed by American sports physician Dr. Robert West, M.D., for comfortable but most of all healthy bicycle rides.
A number of recent studies showed that cyclists, especially men, can experience urogenital problems due to the saddle pressing, squeezing and hurting in all the wrong places.
Unlike classic pads, which only soften mechanical shocks, the “Aero Saddle” system improves seat comfort by creating a pressure free area for the most sensitive blood vessels and urogenital nerves.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The “Aero Saddle” system is for all bicycle riders, whether professionals or amateurs. Both men and women will appreciate the benefits of this unique, patented saddle, even if they never experienced numbness or other seat-related problems.

WHY THE HOLE IN THE MIDDLE?
Our patented saddle has a special opening in the middle, designed to relieve pressure on blood vessels and sensitive genital organs. The pads on either side of the hole help to correctly support the rider’s pelvis.
Our new, patented “Aero Saddle” models present a distinctive arrowhead opening, entirely pressure free, reaching towards the rear of the saddle, and a groove all the way to its posterior edge.
This design provides an ideal solution for bicycle riders, relieving pressure on nerves and blood vessels between the lower back bones and the pubic bone.
“Aero Saddle” is the final answer to the rider’s problem of how to best position himself on the saddle.

| Our S.U.A. project, a collaboration with Italian doctor Ruggero Mele, professor of biophysics and biomechanics, taught us new ways to design the useful support area of a saddle. No one has considered so many parameters before. We look at a rider's biological characteristics: weight, presumed maximum blood pressure, physical characteristics, values, tastes, habits and riding frequency. As a result of this project, Selle San Marco will soon offer each rider a formula for selecting the right saddle for his or her cycling – for performance, for comfort, for health.
At Selle San Marco, we produce original, cutting – edge patents. We registered six new patents benefiting the following models in comfort, ergonomics, design and technology: Rever, Arrowhead Bicycle System, Gelaround System, Barracuda, Nelson and Era R1.
