Motoki Yoshio x Colnago - Respect, Harmony and Color
coexist in an artistic limited edition of the C68

Colnago presents a unique livery for a limited edition of the C68, designed for
to pay homage to the tradition and uniqueness of the C line. To make it Motoki Yoshio,
appreciated Japanese designer who lives and works in Milan.

Colnago is color, Colnago is design.
Colnago, in addition to the quality of its frames, has always stood out for its originality and
the uniqueness of its liveries. From screened to art decor to frozen colors, the company of
Cambiago has never ceased to amaze.
The last born Colnago starts from these premises, which should not be considered
simply a limited edition bicycle, but a unique piece to collect.
Totally handmade in Italy - born from the collaboration between the company
dell’Asso di Fiori and one of the most popular contemporary designers in the industry of
cycling: Motoki Yoshio, Japanese, resident and active in Milan for 25 years.

The bicycles will be mounted with Campagnolo EPS and Bora Ultra WTO,
Pirelli tires and Selle Italia saddle thus completing a full-Italian look.
Respect and Harmony, these are the key words of the project. Respect for the
tradition and quality of the Colnago and Armonia C series in highlighting and making
coexist the parts from which the frame is formed.

The color scheme design of the Motoki Yoshio x Colnago starts with an analysis of the
geometries of the frame and the intersections of the parts of which it is composed. The different colors
in fact they are arranged following the lines of the junctions of the frame. They are a tribute to
tradition of the Colnago C line. An iconic product, the maximum expression of
Italian carbon craftsmanship. The C68 represented a change in the
series C, with the abandonment of the sharp edges of the conjunctions with the introduction of
bandaged grafts. Motoki Yoshio's challenge was also this: to maintain and
underline the C identity on a frame with the most innovative shapes.
In a first phase, the Japanese designer traced the lines of the components of the
frame and associated them with strong colors - as is typically the case in
design. The nuances came later, to give even more harmony and
highlight the main components even better.
"Harmony - these are Motoki's words - also means pleasure, balance, what
I would like you to try pedaling on this bike. When on a bike you are in profound harmony
with the context, those who ride live a unique experience, just as a design becomes
unique when it is in perfect harmony with the product. "
