The Lightweight Black ED wheel brings you one step closer to success. We have added an additional innovative component to all wheels of our Schwarz ED: Ball bearings from the brand CeramicSpeed. No matter if you are a professional or an amateur, this wheel gives you wings. On a long distance (e.g. Ironman) you can save up to 9 minutes of time. Decisive minutes between success and defeat. As an athlete, you benefit not only from the significantly greater durability of CeramicSpeed bearings. They also increase your performance. The low rolling resistance makes it easier to reach your goal, increases your speed and makes you more effective. Speed and fun in a perfect combination.

Lightweight is proud to present their newest product, Lightweight's first disc brake wheelset: the Meilenstein Disc now also in the version for tubular tires.

The new Meilenstein T Disc wheelset combines German Engineering excellence with Lightweight's long-standing, class-leading expertise in carbon fibre manufacturing. This Lightweight innovation has been hand-crafted with their world-renowned passion for detail and technical excellence.

Lightweight's unique carbon fibre hub design is the technological "cornerstone" of the wheel design, while retaining their classic and recognized Meilenstein rim profile. The pentagonal hub shell shape reflects the need for a secure connection between the wheel and the braking forces that a disc rotor experiences, as well as the heat generated during the braking process.

The engineering team designed this special mechanical interface in Germany, with the unique hub shell guaranteeing safety, but also enhancing one of their main benefits over any other wheel system in the market: Power transfer from the rider, direct to the road.

The special design of the Pentagon hub allows a positive connection of the brake disc and ideal power transmission to the 20 carbon spokes. The result: significantly higher rigidity values, increased braking force and improved braking precision. The wheelset also ensures more safety on the bike, especially on long downhill stretches and extreme heat development on the disc. The Lightweight developers have maintained the tried and tested rim profile of the classic Meilenstein wheelset without changes.

The manufacture of the new wheelset remains also the same as well: In familiar Lightweight-manner, every set is handcrafted in Friedrichshafen. Made in Germany is a principle and a promise of quality.

A magnet (for bike computer) and an individually numbered read-only microchip (important for the registration and Wheel Protection) are laminated into each wheel.
