Chronograph Features of the Polar AXN700:

* Time of day
* with daily alarms
* Dual Time
* Daily reminders
* Stopwatch
* Count Down timers
* PC download functionality: Select between a Hi-Res 5 second or Low-Res 5 minute sample resolution. This is the rate at which data is written to memory. The Polar AXN700 can store up to 100 files of maximum total time 660 hours. For example, 10 files each of 10 hours at a 5 minute sample will only fill 1/6th of this memory. This is great for storing expedition data over many days, or even weeks.

Heart Rate Functions of the Polar AXN700

* Displays ECG accurate heart rate date as % of Max HR or a beats per minute (BPM)
* Ability to show a graphical heart rate trend graph on the dot matrix display
* Polar Own Cal counts and displays energy expenditure in calories
* Polar Own Index. The Polar Fitness tests can predict your maximal oxygen uptake by performing a heart rate variability test
* Polar Own Code. The Polar AXN700 comes with a coded WearLink transmitter to reduce the potential of crosstalk with other heart rate monitor users within 1.5m of the user. This chest strap HAS self change batteries.
* HR rest test. A resting heart rate test based on heart rate variability at and average BPM of resting heart rate. A useful test to which, when perfomed in accordance to the guidelines, can show, incomplete recovery, mental stress, flu, insuffiencent adaptation to high altitude. This feature is NOT found on the Polar AXN500
* 3 x HR training zones. The AXN700 has the ability to store 3 x heart rate training zones. You can change between these very easily while exercising. This is not found on the Polar AXN500

Polar AXN700 Altitude - Outdoor functions overview

* Altitude : The Polar AXN700 will show your current altitude reading with graphical trend curve and yuor vertical progress
* When in Barometric mode, the Polar AXN700 will show barometric pressure readings with a graphical trend line and temperature readings
* Digital Compass (function not on AXN300), the Polar AXN700 will show headings in degrees and cardinal points with the indicator towards north.
* Compass Bearing Points: The Polar AXN700 also allows the user to set a "bearing mark". The watch unit then clearly shows you if you are on, or off course. This is NOT found on the AXN500
* Ascent / Descent rate. The Polar AXN700 has the ability to provide ascent and descent rate indicating how fast you have gone vertically up or down.
