Following years of extensive research into composites, overall carbon fibre, today we are able to offer you an innovative MTB frame, our ALMA. It is a frame in which we have invested all of our knowledge. From the most demanding technical requirements each detail has been individually conceived. Occasionally we have included a personal touch to satisfy our most ambitious desires. The elimination of tension hot spots, the optimising of the weight to stiffness ratio and improving comfort have been the great challenges we have overcome in producing this spectacular frame. To achieve this we have used a combination of resistant and high modulus carbon fibres. The rear triangle is constructed according to our “4 Point Triangle” concept which provides a superior stiffness and better shock absorption. The comfort and acceleration of this frame go well beyond that of a classic rear triangled frame. The top tube has been conceived to protect the rider, but without losing one drop of their energy. Also we have incorporated a titanium chain stay protector and improved the design of the rear dropouts to revolutionise the construction of monocoque MTB frames. As a result of all of this we are able to offer the best XC MTB frame ever constructed by ORBEA.
