VHM CARBON
The use of VHM (Very High Modulus) carbon fibre allows construction of an ultra light frame that
provides optimal rigidity. This lateral rigidity gives the frame excellent pedaling efficiency while not compromising
vertical ride compliancy. The result is a frame that is light weight, efficient, and comfortable.

VHPC BOTTOM BRACKET (VERY HIGH PRESSURE COMPRESSED CARBON)
The bottom bracket is the heart of the frame. In order to maximize pedaling efficency, LOOK has
developed a proprietary technique called ‘Compressed Carbon Technology’. The precise positioning of
carbon fibres inside the mould combined with very high-pressure compression during the moulding process
produces a very light and a very stiff bottom bracket shell. The weight of the bottom bracket is only
130g with a 170N/mm stiffness rating once the frame has been assembled. You feel the bike accelerate
as you transmit power with each pedal stroke.

ULTRA LIGHT DESIGN - Twenty Years ‘Savoir Faire’
LOOK’s twenty plus years of carbon technology allow us to manufacture a feather weight frame that is
light without compromising the overall rigidity and ride performance. The 585 Origin weighs only 990g.

At LOOK we are able to create a frame with these characteristics because of the natural elasticity
of carbon and a special wishbone shape called ‘Double Curve Technology’. Comfort is an essential

LOOK HSC 5 SL FORK
The 100% carbon single-piece fork weighs 310g uncut and meets the new Standard EN 14781
safety test requirement (front impact of 144 joules). This truly unique ‘monobloc’ fork is
moulded as one piece from the top of the steerer tube to the tips of the dropouts. The fork also
utilizes the Look pantented integrated conical carbon crown (45° bearing angle).

ULTRA S ERI E S CUSTOM TUBES
The 585 ULTRA differs from the standard 585 Origin in that the bottom braket and head tube areas have
modified lay up patterns, resulting in a frame that is 15% laterally stiffer. Every ULTRA frame
stands apart, as all ULTRA frames use a UD fibre finish layer.

even more comfortable ride. The top tube has been shortened by 15mm and the head tube
heightened by 16mm, resulting in a more upright position.
