The international success of Basque cuisine has been due to the union of two fundamental factors: the best materials and many years of experience. In the same way the natural star of our 2007 MTB range, the OIZ CARBON, has been born. We have united the latest generation carbon fibre, with the most innovative designs employed in our ALMA frame and the OIZ U.F.O. XC suspension system. The rear triangle is integrally constructed in carbon. Eighty percent high modulus fibre, optimising the strength to weight ratio and the remaining 20% in high resistant fibre to improve its impact handling. The spectacular organic shapes incorporate the distinctive patented and oversized top tube that also acts as further rider protection. On top of that the UFO system flexible carbon chain stays with their 85mm of travel. We have achieved the optimum relation between strength, stiffness and weight through the use of forged aluminium tubing with CNC ends to join up with the muscular carbon seat stays. Using only the best ingredients and the most advanced manufacturing technologies has made it possible for us to offer this new creation. A spectacular cutting edge design with an equally spectacular weight of under 2kg (including the suspension system), providing the optimum in lateral stiffness and a unbeatable handling.
