TIME uses Vectran, a polyamide fiber with vibration-absorbing properties, woven in unidirectional tubular layers with carbon fibers. Positioned directionally and targeted to filter vibration, Vectran provides optimal user comfort for the rider and a perfect transmission of pedaling power without fatigue.
Only TIME, with its 9 R & D engineers specializing in RTM, is capable of the precise positioning of the carbon and Vectran fibers in the exact locations required. It is the precise organization and positioning of the absorbent Vectran fibers relative to the various carbon fibers, which deliver the technical properties desired by top-level riders: strength with extreme light weight, and rigidity with comfort.
In our French factory, TIME technicians then carefully position the tubular carbon and Vectran+carbon layers, with the fibers in the exact locations and orientations as specified by our R & D department. The TIME frames structures are then molded using the unique RTM process, by injecting the resin into the mold. No pre-impregnated flat sheets of carbon!
