Polar CS100 (with chest strap) and Polar CS100b (without chest strap, will work with ANY Polar coded chest strap) Heart Rate Monitor / cycling computer. These new Polar HRM models have been specifically designed with cyclists needs in mind. Quick glance display for ETA, HR, Speed pointer and crosstalk prevention to avoid unwanted interference. These new units are dedicated cyclo-computers and not designed to be wrist worn.

They are NOT compatible with older Polar speed sensors or cadence sensors.

The Polar CS100 and CS200 range of cyclists heart rate monitors can be "Polar Weblinked" to the Polar Cycling Coach website. Using your PC microphone and soundcard it is possible to :

Key Features of Polar CS100 and CS100b

* Polar OwnCal - calorie expenditure
* Polar OwnZone - automatic calculation of training zone intensity with audible and visual alarms - The Polar CS100 allows you to let the heart rate monitor set your training zone for you. This is generally about 65-85% of Max HR. The training zone is determined by the watch following a 5 minute walking / jogging test. You may choose to accept this zone or use your own manually prescribed one or your own personally set heart rate training zone.

* Auto Start option (stops recording when static, restarts when moving)
* Bike 1/2. Allows you to store details for 2 different bikes
* 50 Lap stopwatch - with number of laps, best lap, individual split/lap time, average speed, speed when lap button pressed, average cadence (optional) and cadence at time lap pressed, lap distance.
* 2 x Countdown timers. These can be used together or just one. They will auto repeat. For example, 1 x 5 mins 1 x 3 mins, then repeat, or just bleep every 5 mins. This is useful for interval training.

Polar CS100(b) Key Features While riding (buttons may require pressing to obtain this data, the unit normally shows 3 x parameters at one time. You can toggle through these displays quickly and easily with the RIGHT handside button:

* Average Speed (with rising / decreasing trend arrow)

* Heart Rate Limits that you are currently working within. There is a graphical heart that moves from left to right within this range.
